Application of Aluminum Hydroxide in Life

The molecular formula of aluminum hydroxide is Al2O3 · 3H2O or Al(OH)3, known industrially as aluminum hydroxide. It is an intermediate product in the production of alumina from bauxite. Aluminum hydroxide is mainly used for aluminum smelting after being roasted into alumina. The wet aluminum hydroxide is dried or pulverized to obtain white fine particles. High hardness, wear resistance, easy processing; good chemical stability, odorless, non-toxic, non-volatile, and has good smoke and flame retardant properties; it is a typical amphoteric compound, soluble in acid solution and alkali solution. Pure aluminum hydroxide is white crystal or powder.
